Thorbjørn Olesen posted sensational first round 62 to take the lead at the 2021 Tenerife Open. The Dane sits at nine under par after ten birdies and one bogey today. Four players, including last week winner Garick Higgo, are just a shot behind and share second place at eight under par.

Today’s 62 from Thorbjørn Olesen are a new course record. The Dane is five-time European Tour winner. His last triumph came at the 2018 Italian Open when he held off home favorite Francesco Molinari to win by one.
