Two of the most popular golf caddies – Billy Foster and Terry Mundy are on a special mission in Bulgaria invited by the Bulgarian Golf Association. They are here to share their experience and course management knowledge with Bulgarian national team members.
Billy Foster has been on tour since 1983. He is one of the most respected and popular active golf caddies. Over the years he has been working with Seve Ballesteros, Tiger Woods, Thomas Bjorn, Darren Clarke and Lee Westwood. Foster has been part of 10 Ryder Cup matches and has more than 35 professional wins. Currently he is on the bag of world number 35 Matthew Fitzpatrick.
Terry Mundy’s career as professional caddie starts in 1989. In 2006 he started to work with Ian Poulter and the duo enjoyed some good years on tour. They won two WGT Championships and have several Ryder Cup appearances. Currently Terry works with Sam Horsfield, but he continues to caddy for Poulter in Ryder Cup, the Masters and European Tour events.
Yesterday Bulgarian golf fans had the unique opportunity to meet in person Billy and Terry and hear some untold stories from the majors and Ryder Cup. For more than an hour and a half they shared several stories from their experience on tour. They shared their thoughts about the future of golf, biggest golf tournaments and what it takes to be a great player and great Ryder Cup captain.
Their visit in Bulgaria continues with a practice session at Pravets Golf Club. There they will work with the national team members and show them how they make their strategy on tour events.
