First round leaderboard:
Cameron Young posted several top finishes on the PGA Tour, but he is yet to win. In May the American tied for third at the PGA Championship at Southern Hills.
Rory McIlroy arrived in St. Andrews as one of the favorites for the win and he didn’t disappoint. McIlroy is the winner of the tournament in 2014 when it was played at Royal Liverpool Golf Club.
