Matthew Southgate and Maverick Antcliff leads the way before the final round of the Porsche European Open in Hamburg. They sit at five under par, one clear of a group of four players. The tournament started yesterday and was shortened to 54 holes due to the new COVID-19 restrictions applied by the German government.
How it stands with one round to go:
Maverick Antcliff is from the new generation Australian golfers on the European Tour. So far in his career he has won €374,655.73 from his 30 appearances on the European Tour. Earlier this season he was very close to winning his maiden tour title at the Canary Islands Championship where he finishes second.
Matthias Schwab’s consistency continues and we will see the Austrian again in contention on Sunday. Schwab is yet to miss a cut this season. He played the course at one over par today, but sits at one under for the tournament, only four behind.
