Marcel Siem with first DP World Tour win in nine years

Marcel Siem posted a final round 68 and with a total score of 14 under par claimed the title at the 2023 Hero Indian Open. The German finished one clear of his countryman Yannik Paul, who had the lead at the start of the day. Joost Luiten completed the top three after he played the course at four under par today.

This is Marcel Siem’s fifth DP World Tour title and it comes in his 502nd start on tour. His last triumph was in November 2014 at the BMW Masters. Thanks to today’s win in India Marcel Siem will move inside the top 260 golfers on the planet. He started the week as world number 337.

Yannik Paul continues to impress and posted second runner-up finish in a row. Last week the German finished solo second at the Thailand Classic. With no doubt Yannik Paul is under the radar of the European Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald and the German has all chances to make the European team in September.
