Marc Warren won his fourth European Tour title after six-year wait

Marc Warren (Scotland) posted final round 70 and with total score of 13 under par claimed the title at the 2020 Austrian Open.  Warren saw his chances almost gone after bogeys on 11th and 12th. The 2007 Omega Mission Hills World Cup winner managed to bounce back and birdies on 15th and 17th secured him the title. Marcel Schneider (Germany) finished solo second while Wil Besseling completed the top 3 with score of 11 under par.

This is Marc Warren’s fourth European Tour title and his first since August 2014 when he won the title at Made in Denmark.

Today’s win climbed Warren to 63rd in Race to Dubai which is a jump with 145 spots. The Scot will return among the top 800 in the world. He started the week ranked 1118th.

Darius van Driel played solid golf all week and shared fourth place in the final leaderboard. Van Driel was in the mix after two birdies in his opening 3 holes, but he was not able to keep the momentum. He made three bogeys between 5th and 11th to post final round 72.
