Jamie Donaldson one clear before the final day at Cyprus Open

Jamie Donaldson will take one-shot lead into the final round of the 2020 Aphrodite Hills Cyprus Open after third round 69. The Welshman climbed to 14 under par for the tournament. Five players are just a shot behind and share second place.

With one round to go:

Jamie Donaldson already has three European Tour titles under his belt. His last triumph on tour came at the 2014 D+D Real Czech Masters.

Kalle Samooja made the round of the day and as a result he climbed 22 spots on the leaderboard to 13 under par.

Matthias Schwab had the solo lead at some point today after six birdies in his first 12 holes. However the Austrian was not able to keep the momentum and made bogey on the 13th and double bogey on the 17th. As a result Schwab dropped back to 11 under par, three shots behind the leader.

David Drysdale is playing his 509th European Tour tournament, but he is yet to win. The Scot played the course at three under par today and sits at 13 under par.
