J. B. Holmes claimed his fifth PGA Tour title after winning the 2019 Genesis Open at Riviera CC. The American finished the tournament at 14 under par after final round 70. Justin Thomas, who was leading after the third round finished solo second at 13 under par. Thomas didn’t have the best day on the course, he was struggling on the green and played the course at four over par for the day. After solid final round 66 Si Woo Kim climbed to solo third place in the final leaderboard.
J. B. Holmes last PGA Tour title was four years ago when he won the Shell Houston Open in April 2015.
Pace of play in the leading tours again became a hot topic after the end of Genesis Open. The reason for that was the fact that the group of J. B. Holmes needed five and a half hours to complete the round.
Rory McIlroy had a good week and shared 4th place at 11 under par.
