Harris English leads the way after the opening round of the 2021 WGC – FedEx St. Jude Invitational. The American carded ten birdies and two bogeys on his way to a round of 62. Ian Poulter, Matthew Wolff, Carlos Ortiz and Jim Herman are two behind and share second place at six under par.

Harris English has a great season so far. A few ago English claimed the title at the Travelers Championship after a dramatic playoff with Kramer Hickok.
Bryson DeChambeau is one of the favorites for the win this week. After the first round the American shares sixth place at five under par.
Ian Poulter was very stable on day one and didn’t make any mistakes. The Englishman has two WGC titles ( 2010 WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship and 2012 WGC-HSBC Champions) under his belt. He hasn’t won on the European Tour since November 2012.
