Haotong Li claimed his third DP World Tour title after winning the 2022 BMW International Open in Munich. The Chinese posted a final round 70 and as a result climbed to 22 under par for the tournament. This score was matched by Thomas Pieters who played the course at five under par today. The champion was decided on the first extra hole won by Li who holed a monster birdie putt.

This is Haotong Li’s third DP World Tour title from 148 appearances. Thanks to it he will climb inside the top 150 golfers on the planet. Li started the week as world number 281.
Thomas Pieters, ranked 35th in the world, arrived in Munich as one of the favorites to win the title. The big-hitting Belgian is in great form and this was his third top 10 finish in the last five starts.
