David Law set the pace in Qatar

David Law posted first round 64 and with score of seven under par took the lead after the opening day of the 2021 Commercial Bank Qatar Masters. The Scot played solid golf and carded seven birdies without to drop a shot. Four players are just a shot behind and share second place at six under par.

David Law started the week ranked 986th in the world, but the Scot knows what is needed to win on the European Tour. In February 2019 he claimed his maiden title at the ISPS Handa Vic Open.

Eddie Pepperell arrived in Qatar as one of the favorites for the win on Sunday. Pepperell, two-time European Tour winner, shares 33rd place at two under par after day one.
