Bryson DeChambeau took the lead after the third round of the 2019 Omega Dubai Desert Classic. DeChambeau posted third round 68 and leads at 16 under par with 18 holes to go. The defending champion Haotong Li is solo second at 15 under par. Three times tournament champion Ernie Els and Matt Wallace share third place at 13 under par.
How it stands after 54 hole:
If Bryson DeChambeau lift the trophy tomorrow he will become the fourth american golfer who has claimed the title. He can join the elite company of Fred Couples, Mark O’Meara and Tiger Woods who also have wins in Dubai.
Haotong Li posted third consecuitive round 67. The last golfer who managed to defend his Omega Dubai Desert Classic title was Stephen Gallacher. The Scot did that in 2013 and 2014.
Alvaro Quiros is another past champion who is going low in Dubai. He is only four shots behind the leader DeChambeau.
