Billy Horschel claimed the title at the 2021 BMW PGA CHAMPIONSHIP

Billy Horschel became the second American with a title from the European Tour flagship event after winning the 2021 BMW PGA CHAMPIONSHIP at Wentworth. The American played the course at seven under par today and as a result climbed to 19 under par for the tournament. Kiradech Aphibarnrat, Laurie Canter and Jamie Donaldson finished a shot behind and shared second place.

Billy Horschel already once this season. In March he won the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play after defeating Scottie Scheffler on the final in Austin. Thanks to his win at Wentworth Billy Horschel will climb to 18th in the world, which is a jump with eight spots.

Kiradech Aphibarnrat needed only 64 strokes on the course today which was the best round for the day. He had his chances, but poor finishing cost him the win. Aphibarnrat played the final two holes, both par 5s, at one over par.
