Mackenzie Hughes, Russell Henley and Louis Oosthuizen (pictured) lead the way at five under par after the third round of the 121st U.S Open. The defending champion Bryson DeChambeau and former world number one Rory McIlroy are two behind and share fourth place at three under par. The final round promises a lot of drama and emotions as twenty players are within five shots of the lead.
How it stands with one round to go:
Rory McIlroy posted one of the best rounds in the third round and as a result he climbed the leaderboard with 17 spots. He played the course at four under par for the day to move to three under par for the tournament.
Bryson DeChambeau also had a good round and needed only 68 strokes on the course on Saturday.
Without any fireworks Russell Henley remains on the top and his dream for winning first major is still alive. The American has three PGA Tour titles under his belt. His last triumph was in April 2017 at the Shell Houston Open.
