Webb Simpson leads the way at RBC Heritage

American Webb Simpson posted second consecutive round of 65 and with total score of 12 under par leads the way at the 2020 RBC Heritage. Bryson DeChambeau and Corey Conners are just a shot behind. The duo shares second place at 11 under par with two rounds to go.

Second round leaderboard:

Webb Simpson already won this year. In February the 2012 U.S. Open champion won the Waste Management Phoenix Open after defeating Tony Finau in a playoff.

The big news on Friday came from American Nick Watney. Watney, five-time PGA Tour winner became the first PGA Tour golfer to test positive for COVID-19. Former world number nine started the tournament with a round of 74. Then on Friday he felt some of COVID-19 symptoms and after talks with a physician he was tested again. Now Watney is self isolated for at least 10 days.

Some of Friday highlights belongs to German veteran Bernhard Langer (62) who made the cut after round of 69 and 67. As a result he becomes the seventh player aged 62 or more in the last 50 years who makes the cut in PGA Tour event.
