Xander Schauffele won the 2018 WGC – HSBC Champions after beating Tony Finau on the first play-off hole. Finau and Schauffele both finished at 14 under par after the regular 72 holes. On the first extra hole Schauffele made birdie compared to Finau’s par and this was enough to win his third PGA Tour title. Last year champion Justin Rose finished solo third at 10 under par.

Tony Finau was at the top of the leaderboard at most of the time, but he didn’t manage to finish strong and win the tournament..
