Rory McIlroy will take one shot lead into the final round of the 2021 Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship after solid performance in the windy conditions. McIlroy played the course at five under today and sits on the top of the leaderboard with score of 13 under par. Tomorrow he will play alongside yesterday’s leader Tyrrell Hatton who is at 12 under par after three rounds. Tommy Fleetwood posted second consecutive 67 to climb to 11 under par for the tournament.
With one round to go:
A win tomorrow will be Rory McIlroy’s 15th in his European Tour career. His last triumph in a regular European Tour event was in 2016 at the Irish Open.
Tommy Fleetwood had a tough start in the tournament and he was three over thru his opening nine. However the Englishman stabilized his game and moved into contention. Fleetwood won his last from his five European Tour titles in November 2019 at the Nedbank Golf Challenge.
