Richard Bland and Russell Henley share the lead at five under par after the second day of the 121st U.S Open. They will start the third round with one-shot lead over the 2010 Open champion Louis Oosthuizen and Matthew Wolff.
Second round leaderboard:
For second day in a row the course provided great test for the golfers. Only 12 golfers are under par after the first two days.
A month ago Richard Bland claimed his maiden European Tour title in his 478th attempt after winning the Betfred British Masters. The Englishman is now playing his second U.S Open. He missed the cut when he made his debut in 2009.
Solid performance on Friday from the two-time Masters champion Bubba Watson. The American played the course at four under par and climbed to three under par for the tournament and shared fifth place on the current leaderboard. Watson hasn’t posted a top 10 in a major since April 2018 when tied for fifth at Augusta.
Jon Rahm arrived at Torrey Pines GC as one of the favorites and he acts as such. After the first two days the Spaniard sits at three under par, only two of the lead.
