Marc Leishman won fifth PGA Tour title at Farmers Insurance Open

Australian Marc Leishman posted impressive final round 65 to claim his fifth PGA Tour title at Farmers Insurance Open 2020. Thanks to his solid play in the final day Leishman climbed to 15 under par for the tournament. This was enough to finish one shot clear of the 2017 champion Jon Rahm. The Spaniard started the final day as a leader, but after fourth round 70 he finished solo second. Rory McIlroy and Brandt Snedeker shared third place at 12 under par.

Farmers Insurance Open 2020 final leaderboard:

As a result from his win Marc Leishman climbed with eight spots in the official world golf ranking and from today is is ranked 20th. He follows Jason Day and becomes the second Australian golfer to win the trophy at the legendary Torrey Pine.

Considering Tiger’s record at Torrey Pines it is not a surprise that he was considered as the big favorite for the win this week. Woods shared ninth place at nine under par. And this shot by the former world number with no doubt is the unluckiest shot so far in 2020 🙂
