Jonathan Thomson took the lead after the first round of Made in Denmark after he posted opening round 64 for 8 under par in rainy Silkeborg. A group of six players shared the second place at 6 under, two behind the leader Thomson. One of tournament favorites – Lee Westwood finished at 4 under par after he recorded four birdies in his last five holes for the day. Local favorite Thorbjorn Olesen had a bad day and finished at one over par and shares 93rd place after round one.
