Hideki Matsuyama posted third round 65 and with total score of 11 under par leads the way before the final round of the 2021 Masters Tournament. The Japanese showed great golf yesterday on the back nine which he played at six under par. Four players share second place at seven under par. In that group is the leader after the first two days Justin Rose who played the course on level par for second day in a row.
With one round to go:
Hideki Matsuyama is a five-time PGA Tour winner, but his last triumph came four years ago at the 2017 WGC-Bridgestone Invitational. The Japanese has eight Masters appearances as a pro and his best result is a solo fifth place in 2015.
it is Xander Schauffele again who we see in contention in the majors. From 14 major appearances he has seven top 10 finishes. In the 2019 Masters the American finished a shot behind the winner Tiger Woods.
