Dramatic win for Victor Perez at the Dutch Open

Victor Perez claimed his second DP World Tour title after a dramatic win at the 2022 Dutch Open. The Frenchman posted a final round 69 and as a result climbed to 13 under par for the tournament. This score was matched by the Ras Al Khaimah Classic winner Ryan Fox who played the course at four under par today. The duo had to go out on the course one more time to determine the winner. It was decided on the 4th extra hole won by Perez with a birdie after he holed a monster putt on the 17th green. Adrian Meronk from Poland also played the course at four under par today which was enough to finish solo third.

Dutch Open 2022 final leaderboard:

Victor Perez put his name on the world stage of golf in 2019 when he won the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in Scotland. The Frenchman played great that season and as a result he climbed inside the top 30 in the world. However he didn’t manage to keep this level and after several poor tournaments lost his place among the 100 players in the world. Perez started the week as world number 161, but his win in the Netherlands will move him inside the top 115 from Monday.

The winning putt

Ryan Fox had the solo lead with one hole to play, but after a poor shot on the 18th had to settle with a double bogey seven.
