Danny Willett played phenomenal golf and held his nerve to claim one of the biggest titles in his career at this week BMW PGA Championship. Willett posted final round 67 to finish the tournament at 20 under par. Jon Rahm, who started the day as co-leader, finished solo second at 17 under par, three behind the winner.

The title at Wentworth is Willett’s seventh from the European Tour. Thanks to his triumph the Englishman will move inside the top 40 at the Official World Golf Ranking. He started the week ranked 58th. Willett made a serious jump at the Race to Dubai as well. He moved to ninth after this week.
Jon Rahm was not able to respond Willett’s solid golf and posted final round 70 to finish second.
Rory McIlroy started the week with the disappointing 76, but he bounced back with three solid rounds in the 60’s to finish inside the top 10 at 11 under par.
