Corey Conners leads the way after the opening round of the 103rd PGA Championship with score of five under par. The Canadian carded six birdies and one bogey on his way to first round 67. Six players are two shots behind the leader and share second place at three under par.
First round leaderboard:
Corey Conners already has one PGA Tour title under his belt. It came in 2019 at the Valero Texas Open. The Canadian is playing great recently and already posted several top 10 finishes on tour. One of them came at The Masters where Conners shared eight place.
Solid start in the tournament for Phil Mickelson. The veteran turned back the clock on the back nine where he carded four birdies without to drop a shot. As a result the 2005 PGA Championship winner shares eight place at two under par.
Brooks Koepka missed the cut in his last two tournaments. The two-time PGA Championship winner was struggling with an injury and is not in his best physical condition yet. However in day one Koepka played the course at three under par and shares second place.
