Shane Lowry and Matthew Fitzpatrick lead the way after the second round of the 2020 BMW PGA Championship in Surrey, England. The duo sits at the top of the leaderboard with score of 12 under par. They will tee off on Saturday with one shot advantage over one of first round leaders Tyrrell Hatton.
Second round leaderboard:
Shane Lowry has not been playing his best game recently. The 2019 Open champion missed the cut in three of his last four tournaments.
Matthew Fitzpatrick continues to play solid golf and posted second round 65 despite the double bogey on the scorecard. Fitzpatrick had a very good season and as a result he climbed to 20th in the world. What is missing in Fitzpatrick’s resume in the last two seasons is a win. His last triumph on the European Tour came in September 2018 at the Omega European Masters.
Tyrrell Hatton knows how to show his A game in big tournaments. The Englishman didn’t make any serious today and posted second round 67 after six birdies and one bogey.
The shot of the day belongs to David Howell. The English veteran made a hole-in-one on the par three 14th. After two days Howell shares 25th place at four under par.
