Phil Mickelson claimed 44th PGA Tour title at AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am

Phil Mickelson won the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am for record 5th time and claimed his 44th PGA Tour title. On Sunday Mickelson was well in control with three-shot lead and two holes to go when play was suspended for the day due to darkness. So today with plenty of sunlight Phil Mickelson and Paul Casey returned on the course to finish their fourth round and determine the winner. There was no drama and after par-birdie finish Mickelson won one of his favorite events with score of 19 under par. Paul Casey birdied the last hole to finish solo second at 16 under par.

Phil Mickelson loves this tournament. It is a special place for him not only for his great record on the links. In 1919 his grandfather became of of the first caddie in the golf club.

Paul Casey had his chances, but final round 71 was not enough for the title. This was the fourth time when Casey starts a final round in a PGA Tour as a leader and fails to win.
