American Matthew Wolff finished his final round at the 2019 3M Open with an memorable eagle to claim his maiden PGA Tour title. Wolff needed a birdie on the 72nd hole to force a playoff, but he decided to take control and attacked the green on the par 5 18th with his second shot. The ball ended on the fringe, 20 ft from the pin. Matthew Wolff sank the putt and finished the tournament at 21 under par. Collin Morikawa and Bryson Dechambeau finished a shot behind the winner Wolff and shared second place.
3M Open final leaderboard:
The 3M Open was Wolff’s fourth PGA Tour start and the 20 years old American is already a champion. Thanks to this win Wolff gains a spot at next year Masters and PGA Championship.
Bryson Dechambeau was the big favorite before the start of the final round. He played solid and posted final round 66, but this was not enough to claim the title.
