Louis Oosthuizen will take one-shot lead into the final day of the 149th Open Championship at Royal St George’s GC. Oosthuizen posted third round 69 and leads the way at 12 under par. The South African is one clear of Colin Morikawa who played the course at two under today. The 2017 Open champion Jordan Spieth is solo third at nine under par.
How it stands with one round to go:
Louis Oosthuizen will have another chance to break the negative tendency and finally win his second major title. Oosthuizen has finished as a runner-up in all four majors. He has six runner-up finishes in total, two of which came this year at the PGA Championship and the U.S Open.
Collin Morikawa is only 24 years old, but already he is one of the leading golfers on the planet. The American has four PGA Tour titles under his belt, including a major and WGC titles.
The 2021 U.S Open champion Jon Rahm played the course at two under par today and as a result climbed to seven under par for the tournament. The Spaniard will need a low one tomorrow to have a chance to claim his second major title.
