Justin Rose claimed his 10th PGA title at Torrey Pines after winning the 2019 Farmers Insurance Open. The Englishman played solid golf all week and finished the event at 21 under par. The 2013 Masters champion Adam Scott finished second, two shots behind the winner Rose.
“I always pride myself on the golf courses I’ve been able to win on and this one is another very great golf course with a lot of history…I love winning on great tests of golf and this one will give some special feelings because of that.”…said the champion after the end of his round.
Final leaderboard:
This was the 8th top 10 finish for Justin Rose from his last ten tournaments worldwide.
Many questioned Rose’s decision to switch his equipment provider before the start of the season. With this win he confirms that this is not an issue and he continues to impress.
Adam Scott didn’t manage to stop on-fire Rose, but he had a good week. In the last couple of seasons Scott didn’t have any impressive results and the main reason for that was his game on the green. Before this week Farmers Insurance Open he switched to armlock putter with a claw grip which seems to be a good choice.
