Justin Harding leads the way after the third round of the 2022 Slync.io Dubai Desert Classic. The South African played the course at one under par today and as a result climbed to 12 under par for the tournament. Rory McIlroy, who needed only 69 strokes on the course today, sits solo second at 10 under par. Tommy Fleetwood and Erik van Rooyen share third place at nine under par.
How it stands before the final day in Dubai:
Rory McIlroy hasn’t won a DP World Tour event since the 2016 Dubai Duty Free Irish Open. With a win tomorrow McIlroy will return among the top five golfers on the planet. He arrived in Dubai as world number eight.
Erik van Rooyen spent the last few months on American soil competing on the PGA Tour. The South African already has one PGA Tour title and one DP World Tour triumph under his belt.
