Jon Rahm (Spain) played phenomenal golf on Sunday and claimed his fourth European Tour title after winning the 2019 Dubai Duty Free Irish Open. Rahm started the day five shots behind the third round leader Robert Rock, but after final round 62 he finished at 16 under par which was enough for the win. Andy Sullivan and Bernd Wiesberger shared second place at 14 under par.
Dubai Duty Free Irish Open final leaderboard:
Jon Rahm won the title thanks to his solid play on the back nine in the final round.
The eagle on the par five 12th marked the start on his quest to the top of the leaderboard. It was followed by three birdies and a bogey to which his opponents were not able to respond.
Rafa Cabrera-Bello started the day with three birdies on the first five holes and took the early lead. The Spaniard was not able to keep this high level of play on the back nine and as a result he finished tied for fourth at 13 under par.
