International team leads by three at Presidents Cup 2019

The International team won 2.5 points in today’s Forsomes and leads by three points after the second day at Presidents Cup 2019. Both teams won two matches today with the last match for the day being halved. As a result the Internationals keep his lead gained in the first session from this year edition of the tournament.

Friday Foursomes:

Saturday morning session matches:

  1. In the first match of the day we will see Haotong Li and Mark Leishman playing against best friends Justin Thomas and Rickie Fowler. Haotong Li missed the action in the first two days and it will be interesting to see in what conditions he is. On paper this is the strongest American pairing and it’s not a surprise we see them playing in the first match of the they. The duo will try to gain some momentum and inspire the rest team members. Prediction: Win for Team USA
  2. Abraham Ancer and Sungjae Im takes on Americans Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay. Schauffele and Cantlay will play for third time together this week. This looks like the most interesting match from the morning session. We expect many birdies and low scoring in this match. Prediction: Halved
  3. Webb Simpson and Patrick Reed is the other American pairing which remains unchanged since day one. They now have the chance to take a revenge against Hideki Matsuyama and C.T. Pan. In the first day Matsuyama and Pan won 1 up. Prediction: Win for Team International
  4. In the last match of the session Byeong Hun An and Adam Scott takes on Matt Kuchar and Tony Finau. Finau is known as a birdie machine, but we can say the same for Byeong Hun An. An has the advantage to be paired with experienced Adam Scott who knows the course very well. Prediction: Win for An and Scott
