Harold Varner III posted second round 66 and with total score of 11 under par took the solo lead at the 2020 Charles Schwab Challenge. Jordan Spieth and Bryson DeChambeau are just a shot behind the leader Harold Varner III and share second place at 10 under par. Justin Rose, who was sharing the lead after day one, played Colonial with 69 on Friday. As a result he dropped to shared seventh place at eight under par.

Jordan Spieth was struggling with his game in the last couple of years. He rarely was in contention and as a result he dropped outside the top 50 at the Official World Golf Ranking. His last PGA Tour title was in July 2017 when Spieth won The Open.
