Local hero Eddie Pepperell posted third round 68 and with total score of 10 under par leads the way at the 2021 Betfred British Masters. The Englishman will take one-shot lead into the final round and will have the challenging task to protect it against a strong group of contenders. Six players are just a shot behind and share second place at nine under par.
How it stands with one round to go:
Eddie Pepperell has two European Tour titles under his belt. One of them came at the 2018 edition of the British Masters when it was played at Walton Heath GC. The Englishman started the week ranked 210th in the world, but a win tomorrow will climb him inside the top 130.
The two-time European Tour winner Guido Migliozzi is one of the players at nine under par. The Italian is not playing his best golf recently and he has two missed cuts in his last four starts. Migliozzi’s last top 10 was in mid March at the Qatar Masters.
Robert MacIntyre arrived at The Belfry as the big favorite for the win this week. With his 45th place at the Official World Golf Ranking he is the highest ranked player in the field. The Scot is in the group at nine under par and has all the chances to win his second European Tour title tomorrow.
