Daniel Gavins leads the way after the opening round of the Magical Kenya Open. The Englishman posted first round 64 and sits at seven under par. Johannes Veerman and Shubhankar Sharma are just a shot behind and share second place at six under par.

Daniel Gavins is playing his 67th DP World Tour tournament. He already has a win under his belt. In August 2021 he claimed his maiden title at the ISPS Handa World Invitational. The Englishman started the week ranked 190th in the world, but a win on Sunday will move him inside the top 150.
The defending champion Justin Harding posted a solid round of 68 today. As a result the South African is tied for ninth at three under par.
