RBC Canadian Open final leaderboard:
This was Rory’s 16th career PGA Tour title and his second for the season. Thanks to this win McIlroy moves to 3rd in the World Ranking.
McIlroy needed a birdie on the last hole on Sunday to post final round 59. However he found the greenside bunker and bogeyed the hole, but fourth round 61 was more than enough for the win.
Graeme McDowell is the other big winner of the week. McDowell shared 8th place and secured a place in next month Open Championship. The 148th Open Championship will be played at Royal Portrush Golf Club, McDowell’s home golf course in North Ireland.
