Italian Andrea Pavan posted opening round 66 and lead the 2019 BMW International Open. Only a shot behind the leader at five under par are the home favorite Martin Kaymer and Englishman Oliver Wilson. Today’s round was interrupted for almost three hours due to threat of lightning. Players returned on the course but some of them didn’t manage to complete their round on time. They will return on the course tomorrow morning before the start of the second round.
How it stands:
Martin Kaymer’s fine form continues and the German is only a shot behind the leader. He has the home support and will do his best to lift the trophy on Sunday.
Andrea Pavan already has an European Tour title. Last season he recorded his lone European Tour win at the D+D Real Czech Masters after a great battle with Padraig Harrington till the last hole.
