Victor Perez and Matthew Southgate (on the photo) lead the way after the third round of the 2019 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. Today Pereze needed 64 strokes to complete his round on Kingsbarns while Matthew Southgate played on the Old Course at St. Andrews. Southgate carded eight birdies and one bogey on his way to third round 65. The duo will start the final round two shots clear of Paul Waring who sits solo third at 18 under par. The rain from the last couple of days and great golfing conditions were the reason for the extremely low cut line. The needed score to advance to the final round was 9 under par and 60 players managed to match it. Tomorrow all golfers will play on the Old Course at St. Andrews.
Third round leaderboard:
Very good week so far for former world number one Luke Donald. In the last couple of years Donald has struggled with injury and as a result he dropped outside the top 600 in the world. Today the Englishman played the Old Course at 8 under par and he shares 6th place at 16 under par.
Serious move to the top of the leaderboard for the Open champion Shane Lowry. The Irishman played the Old course for 64 strokes today and climbed to shared 17th place and score of 13 under par.
