Yesterday from R&A officially announced that the 2020 Open Championship is cancelled for the first time since World War II. The next edition of the tournament will be in 2021 at Royal St. George’s GC which had to host this year tournament.
The other three majors are planned to be played later this year with Ryder Cup staying as planned. It is still not clear if there will be any changes in the qualifying process for the match which is scheduled for September 25-27 at Whistling Straits.
Meanwhile the European Tour cancelled two more events which means we won’t see any action in tour before June 25th. Here is the updated European Tour calendar:
