Thomas Pieters, Richard Bland and the amateur Michael Thorbjornsen share the lead at 10 under par after the second round of the Hero Dubai Desert Classic. The bad weather during the first day led t delay in the program and as a result the tournament will finish on Monday. The third round is supposed to be played on Sunday.

Thomas Pieters has won six times in his 188 DP World Tour appearances. The big-hitting Belgian is ranked 39th in the world, but with a win tomorrow will climb inside the top 30.
World number one Rory McIlroy played the course at two under par today and as a result climbed to eight under par for the tournament. McIlroy has won this tournament twice. He lifted the trophy in 2009 and 2015.
