Three players share the lead at Sony Open in Hawaii 2021

Peter Malnati, Jason Kokrak and Joaquin Niemann share the lead after the opening day of the 2021 Sony Open in Hawaii. They played great golf on Thursday and lead the way at eight under par. A group of six players is two behind and share fourth place at six under par.

First round leaderboard:

Joaquin Niemann continues to play impressive golf in Hawaii and for second week in a row put himself in the mix. Last week Niemann finished second at the Sentry Tournament of Champions after Harris English defeated him in the playoff.

Jason Kokrak is not in his best form and this is visible from his results. The world number 27 shared 35th place last week in Maui and missed the cut in his two tournaments prior the Hawaii trip.
