Sergio Garcia played phenomenal golf all week and as a result the Spaniard claimed the title at the 100th edition of the KLM Open. Garcia posted final round 69 to finish the tournament at 18 under par. Nicolai Hojgaard finished solo second, just a shot behind the 2017 Masters champion. Matt Wallace climbed to solo third after final round 68 and result of 15 under par for the tournament. Callum Shinkwin who started the day as co-leader needed 74 strokes to complete his round and dropped to fifth in the final standing.

This is Garcia’s 16th title from the European Tour. The Spaniard started the week as number 43 in the world, but thanks to his triumph he will move within the top 35. Garcia made serious jump at the Race to Dubai as well and climbed to 13th.
Nicolai Hojgaard is only 18 years old, but he already managed to impress the golfing world. He was ranked 1002nd in the world at the beginning of the week.
