Rory McIlroy is the man to catch at WGC-HSBC Champions

With third consecutive round of 67 Rory McIlroy took the lead after the third round of the 2019 WGC-HSBC Champions. In his bogey-free round McIlroy made five birdies and leads at 15 under par. He will start the final round with one shot lead over the 2010 Open Champion Louis Oosthuizen. Second round leader Matthew Fitzpatrick and last year champion Xander Schauffele share third place at 13 under par.

With a win tomorrow Rory McIlroy will climb to 6th at Race to Dubai and will move back into contention for the top stop. There are only three tournaments remaining till the end of the season. Each of them has prize fund of at least USD 7,000,000.

Louis Oosthuizen’s last European Tour title came last December when he won the 2018 South African Open.

Matthew Fitzpatrick is only two behind and he still has a chance to win his first title for 2019.
