Paul Waring (England) won his first European tour title after defeating Thomas Aiken on the first play-off hole at the Nordea Masters. Both, Waring and Aiken finished at 14 under par on Sunday, but on the first extra hole Waring made par compared to bogey from Aiken. Maximilian Kieffer finished solo third at 13 under par, while Danish superstar Thorbjorn Olesen finished solo 4th at 12 under. The forth place finished moved Olesen to the 8th automatic qualifying spot in the Europe Ryder Cup team.
Nordea Masters 2018 was tournament number 200 for Waring in the European Tour.

Andrew “Beef” Johnston made his first appearance on tour since the Open de France in July. He was off with an injury. Looks like the long absence didn’t affect Beef’s feeling around the green.
