Kristian Krogh Johannessen from Norway took the lead after the opening day of the 2019 Mutuactivos Open de España. Johannessen posted opening round 63 and leads at eight under par. One of home favorites Adri Arnaus (on the photo) sits solo second two behind the leader after 65 today. Six players share the third place at five under par. In that group is and the defending champion Jon Rahm.
First round leaderboard:
The 2014 champion Miguel Angel Jimenez started his round with mix of birdies and bogeys, but after solid play on the back nine he posted a round of 68. The Veteran sits at three under par and shares 18th place.
Jon Rahm, who won the title last year, is the big favorite again. World number five started his title defense with 66 today after six birdies and one bogey.
