Former world number one Justin Thomas held his nerve and won the 2020 Sentry Tournament of Champions after a three-men playoff in Maui. Thomas, winner at the tournament in 2017, posted final round 69 to finish the tournament at 14 under par. His Ryder Cup teammate Patrick Reed produced the round of the day shooting 66 which sent him at the top of the leaderboard alongside Justin Thomas. The defending champion and third round leader Xander Schauffele also found a place in the playoff after shooting 70 on Sunday. Schauffele was eliminated on the first extra where he made par compared to birdies by Reed and Thomas. The winner was decided on the third extra hole which Thomas won with a birdie after a brilliant approach shot.
