Dustin Johnson leads Saudi International after a new course record

World number three Dustin Johnson set a new course record and leads after the second round of the 2019 Saudi International. The American posted second round 61 and leads at 11 under par. Three shots behind the leader Johnson are Haotong Li and Zander Lombard who share second place at 8 under par. The first round leader Thomas Pieters had a bad day on the course and after 74 in the second round he dropped to shared 18th place.

Second round leaderboard:

“It was really good…You always have fun when you’re playing well. I did a lot of the same things I did yesterday. The greens rolled a little bit better today. I just trusted the line that I was playing and made some putts today…It was a very good round. I played really solid all day and gave myself a lot of opportunities.”…said Dustin Johnson after his round

The Omega Dubai Desert Classic champion Bryson DeChambeau posted second consecutive round 68 and shares 12th place at 4 under par.

Not a good week for the World Number One
