Tiger Woods celebrates his 2019 Masters win

Former world number one Tiger Woods held his nerves on a dynamic final day at Augusta and won his 5th Masters title. Woods posted solid final round 70 to finish the tournament at 13 under par. The final day offered a lot of drama and many changes at the top of the leaderboard. At some point five players were sharing the lead, but Woods birdied the 15th to take the solo lead and never lost it again. Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka and Xander Schauffele shared second place at 12 under par.

The Masters final leaderboard:

This was Tiger’s 5th triumph at The Masters and his first since 2005. As a result Tiger Woods now has 15 major titles, three behind Jack Nicklaus record – 18.

At some point today Patrick Cantlay took the lead, but bogey on 16th and 17th dropped the American back to 10 under par and shared 9th place.

The shot of the day belongs to Justin Thomas who made a hole-in-one on the par 3 16th.
