Jonathan Thomson leads in Denmark


Jonathan Thomson took the lead after the first round of Made in Denmark after he posted opening round 64 for 8 under par in rainy Silkeborg. A group of six players shared the second place at 6 under, two behind the leader Thomson. One of tournament favorites – Lee Westwood finished at 4 under par after he recorded four birdies in his last five holes for the day. Local favorite Thorbjorn Olesen had a bad day and finished at one over par and shares 93rd place after round one.

If Eddie Pepperell wins this week most probably he will make Europe Ryder Cup team.

Europe Ryder Cup captain Thomas Bjorn also had a good day and finished at 2 under.
